It can be intimidating to visit a church for the first time – here’s what you can expect when you join us for a Sunday morning worship service.

Service Times

Our Sunday morning worship service starts at 10:30am each Sunday.

Directions

The church building is located at 13 North Wade Road in Wade, Maine, roughly halfway between downtown Washburn and downtown Perham on the Perham Road. Turn off the Perham Road and onto the North Wade Road, and the church will be on your right.

Parking and Entering the Building

For a Sunday morning worship service, the easiest way to park is to take the second driveway, and enter through the door facing the road.

Accessibility

For those with mobility constraints, there is a ramp leading up to the main entrance, and a lift large enough for a wheelchair just inside the main door that will take you up to the main level, where the sanctuary is located. There is a handicap-accessible bathroom just outside the sanctuary.

For those who have hearing impairments, there are wireless headsets available that will allow you to better hear the music and sermon – just ask an usher or the person in the sound booth for assistance.

Children

We love having children join us for worship, for a multitude of reasons, but primarily because it allows our children to see our example as we worship, pray, and learn together. However, we recognize that not every child is able to sit through a whole worship service. There is an staffed nursery available downstairs for the youngest ones at any point during the service, and just after prayer time we invite our slightly older kids to head downstairs for Junior Church. Ultimately, we want families to make whatever choice they need to worship well – if that is together or apart, be welcome to do so.

Worship Service

Music

Our worship music is always varied, with older hymns and newer songs each taking their place. We try to focus on songs that have theological depth and richness, without sacrificing musicality.

Greeting Time

Prayer

During our time of corporate prayer, please feel free to share your burdens, so that we can be praying for you throughout the week.

Sermon

Depending on the week, the sermon can last anywhere from 20-40 minutes. There are black Bibles on the table as you come in for you to take and keep – we will generally try to provide the page number for the passage of scripture that we will be working with that day.
