It is a great encouragement to know that even when we, both individually and corporately, miss the point, we serve a Master who is patient and forgiving. Even in our obliviousness, he directs and guides our understanding, redirecting our focus away from the worries of this world, such as bread, to the interests of his kingdom.
Pray today that we would be focused on the expansion of the kingdom, both in our hearts and in the lives of those around us, rather than focused on the cares and concerns of this world, for he has overcome them all (John 16:33).
